The prestigious GSPDP Asian 14&U Junior Championships 2025 concluded in the Philippines, bringing together the strongest young players of the continent. Uzbekistan was among the participating nations.<\/p>\n
Uzbekistan\u2019s Muslima Turdimurodova and Thailand\u2019s Pavenuen Nualsri reached the girls\u2019 doubles final and were leading their match against South Korea\u2019s Seoheon Kim and Tae Kim 6:4, 4:2 before the final was interrupted due to rain.<\/p>\n
In the singles draw, Muslima Turdimurodova competed in the placement matches. She first lost to a Kazakh opponent 7:5, 6:0, but then regrouped and confidently defeated fifth seed Tae Kim from South Korea 5:3, 4:1, followed by Amanda Teng from Malaysia 4:0, 4:1. Turdimurodova secured her place among the top 13 players in the singles standings.<\/p>\n
Saidaslam Farkhodov won his opening-round match against India\u2019s Rishikesh Mane 6:1, 6:0. He later fell to stronger opponents but still finished within the top 16.<\/p>\n
In doubles, Farkhodov teamed up with Kazakhstan\u2019s Amir Askar. The duo showed strong team spirit but lost to an Indian pair 2:6, 4:6.<\/p>\n
Both Uzbek players \u2014 Turdimurodova and Farkhodov \u2014 finished the tournament in the top 16 of Asia\u2019s best U14 players in singles. Turdimurodova also reached the doubles final, marking an outstanding achievement given the high level of the field and the tournament\u2019s prestigious ATF A+ category.<\/p>\n
For Uzbekistan\u2019s young athletes, participation in such competitions is an important step in their development. These matches provided valuable experience and proved that our juniors can compete with the strongest players in Asia.<\/p>\n
