The International Tennis Tournament M15 Hayot Bank Cup in Tashkent has come to an end: bright victories and new names.

From May 19 to 25, the international men’s tournament M-15 Hayot Bank Cup ended in Tashkent on the tennis courts of the sports complex “Sakhovat”, which brings together the strongest tennis players from 14 countries, such as Uzbekistan, India, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Italy, Switzerland, USA, Japan, Netherlands, Canada, Georgia, Ukraine, Great Britain. The prize fund of the competition is 15 thousand dollars. The tournament is held as part of the professional ITF World Tennis Tour series and includes competitions in singles and doubles. Over the past days, spectators have witnessed intense matches in which the players demonstrated a high level of preparation and technical skill.

The goal of the tournament is to make tennis an integral part of the sports culture of Uzbekistan and increase its popularity among a wide audience.

Our country was represented by talented athletes: Maxim Shin, Amir Milushev, Damir Abdusamadov, Botir Sapaev, Sukhrob Saidov and Abdulaziz Usmonjonov. Maxim Shin showed excellent results, winning the doubles and reaching the quarterfinals in singles, demonstrating a stable game and a high level of skill. Amir Milushev also showed himself in doubles, confidently reaching the semifinals, leaving behind strong opponents. Damir Abdusamadov successfully advanced to the second round of singles, demonstrating perseverance and desire to win. The other participants — Botir Sapaev, Sukhrob Saidov and Abdulaziz Usmonjonov — also represented Uzbekistan with dignity, demonstrating strength of spirit and a professional approach to each game.

One of the most striking and spectacular moments of the tournament was the doubles final. In a dramatic match, Maxim Shin (Uzbekistan) and Lorenzo Lorusso (Italy) defeated representatives from India — Eqbal Ishaque and Sinha Nitin Kumar.

The match ended with a score of 6–4, 6–7(6), [10–6], the outcome of the game was determined in the decisive set, which added even more emotion and tension to both the players and the spectators. Thanks to their well-coordinated and team play, Shin and Lorusso became doubles champions. For Uzbek tennis player Maxim Shin, this is the first doubles trophy in his professional career, received in his homeland.

The final singles match featured the first seeded player Karan Singh (India) and the fourth seeded tennis player Rento Tokuda (Japan). The match was very dynamic, both sides showed a high level of play and fought until the last ball. The final score of the game was 6-7(6), 6-1, 6-1 in favor of Rento Tokuda, who demonstrated confident tactics and excellent physical preparation. According to Rento himself, this is his first victory this year, which makes it especially important for him.

The award ceremonies for the winners and finalists took place at the end of the final matches on May 24 and 25. The participants received memorable prizes, gifts from their partners and applause from the audience. The atmosphere of the final days was truly festive, and the athletes’ emotions were sincere and memorable.

The next tournament of the same series, the second M15 Hayot Bank Cup, started on May 26. Both participants of the previous tournament and new athletes are taking part in it. Among them are Uzbek tennis stars Denis Istomin and Sergey Fomin, seeded number one.
