Uzbekistan Tennis Federation Strengthens International Partnership and Contributes to Development of Tennis in Asia
During the official visit to Astana, the new leadership of the Uzbekistan Tennis Federation (UTF) held a number of strategically important meetings aimed at developing tennis in Central Asia and the entire Asian continent.
A meaningful exchange of views took place between UTF President Batyr Rakhimov, the Secretary General of the Federation and the President of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF). The parties discussed the development of a joint roadmap for deepening cooperation and agreed on areas of strategic interaction. The Uzbekistan Tennis Federation confirmed its commitment to Asian initiatives and expressed its readiness to be a reliable and active partner of the ATF.
An important element of the visit was a separate meeting between Mr. Batyr Rakhimov and Bulat Utemuratov, Vice-President of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and President of the Tennis Federation of Kazakhstan. Mr. Rakhimov expressed gratitude for Mr. Utemuratov’s significant contribution to the development of tennis in the region. In turn, Bulat Utemuratov, who actively represents the interests of Asia at the international level, warmly welcomed the new FTU team and confirmed the support of the ITF and ATF.
The key result of the negotiations was the agreement to hold a prestigious ATF U12 team tournament in Uzbekistan. This is the first project of such a scale in the country under the leadership of the new FTU president. The tournament, long conceived by Mr. Utemuratov, will be a significant step in the development of junior tennis in the region.
This visit became not only a symbol of strengthening the partnership between national and international tennis structures, but also a confirmation of Uzbekistan’s ambitious course towards integration into the Asian and global tennis community.
