The ITF World Tennis Tour series of international tennis tournaments has ended in Tashkent

From May 26 to June 15, 2025, a series of four international ITF World Tennis Tour tournaments were held at the Sakhovat Sports Complex: two weeks of competition among men and two weeks among women. The tournaments became an important event in the tennis life of Uzbekistan, uniting players and spectators from different countries and giving them unforgettable sports experiences.

Each tournament had a prize fund of 15,000 US dollars and included matches in singles and doubles, where the participants demonstrated both individual skill and teamwork.

The competition was attended by athletes from various countries, such as Uzbekistan, Belarus, the USA, Thailand, South Korea, India, Russia, Ukraine, Switzerland, Israel, Kazakhstan and Lithuania.

In the final, fourth tournament, which was held from June 9 to 15, the honor of Uzbekistan was defended by: Alimova Nigina, Chinnova Zlata, Yakovleva Diana, Shubina Darya, Kahramonova Maftunabonu, Olimzhanova Sabrina, Abduraimova Nigina, Shubina Darya and Ekshibarova Vlada. Darya Shubina in a pair with Varvara Panshina from Russia reached the quarterfinals. Olimzhanova Sabrina and Abduraimova Nigina reached the second round of the tournament in singles. The other participants also represented Uzbekistan with dignity, demonstrating resilience, skill and desire to win.

In the singles final, the winner was Lithuanian participant Laima Vladson, who beat Varvara Panshina (Russia) with a score of 7-5, 7-5. The match turned out to be very tense and intense, corresponding to the level of the tournament final.

The doubles final brought together strong duets: Punnin Kovapitukted (Thailand) / Ksenia Laskutova (Russia) and Darya Khomutsianskaya (Belarus) / Darya Zelinskaya (Russia). In a tough fight, the second pair won with a score of 4-6, 6-1, [11-9].

The award ceremonies for the winners and finalists were held on June 14 and 15 immediately after the final matches. Official representatives of the Tennis Federation of Uzbekistan took part in them:

— Deputy Chairman of the Tennis Federation of Uzbekistan— Iroda Tulyaganova.

The four-week series of tournaments became a significant stage in the development of professional tennis in Uzbekistan, providing domestic athletes with valuable experience of international matches, and fans with inspiring matches and bright emotions. Only new tournaments and new victories await us ahead!
