Sultanov Fights Back to Level the Score Against Hong Kong in Davis Cup, 1–1

On the opening day of the World Group II Playoff tie in Hong Kong, Uzbekistan’s national team leveled the score thanks to a hard-fought victory by Khumboyun Sultanov, who defeated Tsz Fu Wong 7–6, 6–3.
The match started with difficulties for Sultanov, as he trailed 2–5 in the first set. However, he mounted an impressive comeback, forced a tiebreak, and confidently closed it out. In the second set, the battle remained tight until 4–3. At 15–40 on Wong’s serve, Sultanov seized the decisive break to lead 5–3. He then sealed the win with a commanding hold to love, giving Uzbekistan its first point in the tie.
The score between Uzbekistan and Hong Kong now stands at 1–1. Tomorrow, fans can expect another thrilling day, with the crucial doubles match set to decide the path to the next Davis Cup round.
