The winners of the ATF 14&U tournament were determined in Namangan.

From September 23 to 26, Namangan hosted the ATF 14&U Andijan international tournament, which brought together the strongest young tennis players from Central Asian countries.

Singles finals

Among the boys, Saidislam Farkhodov defeated Azamjon Ziyatov with a score of 6:3, 6:0.

Among the girls, Mumtozbegim Akramova defeated Yuliana En with a score of 6:1, 6:2.

Doubles finals

Artem Dogovorov from Uzbekistan and Alikhan Temirbaev from Kazakhstan won the boys’ title. In a tense final, they defeated the Uzbek pair Ismoiljon Tursunov and Saidislam Farkhodov with a score of 6:4, 5:7, [10–8].

In the women’s draw, Mumtozbegim Akramova and Yuliana En from Uzbekistan celebrated victory, confidently defeating the duo of Maria Akatova (Kazakhstan) and Ksenia Balova (Uzbekistan) 6:1, 6:1.

The ATF 14&U Andijan tournament is of particular importance for the development of youth tennis in Uzbekistan: it is included in the official calendar of the Asian Tennis Federation, allows young athletes to earn international ranking points, gain experience playing against the strongest opponents in the region, and strengthen their character in knockout matches.

For Uzbek tennis, hosting such events at home is not only an opportunity to showcase the high level of training of its players, but also a step towards strengthening the country’s image as a venue for prestigious tournaments, which directly influences the growth of interest in tennis among children and parents.
