Uzbek tennis players became champions of the ITF Juniors tournament in Baku

From October 13 to 19, Baku (Azerbaijan) hosted the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors J30 Baku international junior tournament, which brought together the strongest players from more than ten countries in Europe and Asia. Uzbek tennis players showed outstanding results, winning both singles and doubles titles.

In singles, Mahmudbek Beknazarov from Uzbekistan confidently made his way through the tournament and became the champion, defeating Nikita Davydovsky from Belarus in the final with a score of 6–2, 4–0. On his way to the title, Beknazarov consistently defeated opponents from Russia, Romania, and Georgia, confirming his status as the tournament’s top seed.

In the doubles, the Uzbek pair of Amir Safaev and Asilbek Ismailov, seeded second, celebrated victory. In the decisive match, they snatched victory from the Belarusian duo of Artsiom Askirka and Mark Haidt with a score of 6–3, 0–6, [10–7], showing their will to win and a high level of interaction on the court.

These results are further confirmation of the growth of Uzbek junior tennis and the systematic work of coaches and the Uzbekistan Tennis Federation in preparing athletes who can compete successfully on the international stage.
