Uzbek tennis players achieve success at ITF J60 Baku tournament

At the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors J60 Baku international junior tournament, which is being held from October 20 to 26, 2025, two Uzbek tennis players showed outstanding results, confirming the high level of training of Uzbekistan’s athletes.

Victory in doubles Danila Kvasov and Akhmadjon Toshmukhamedov won the doubles title, defeating the Russian-Kazakh duo of Alexei Ilin (Russia) and Zhantore Sanzharuly (Kazakhstan) in the final with a score of 6-2, 3-6, 11-9.

On their way to the title, the Uzbekistan players demonstrated excellent teamwork and a will to win, scoring impressive victories over pairs from Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan. In the semifinals, Kvasov and Toshmukhamedov defeated Ivan Matveev (Russia) and Amir Safaev (Uzbekistan) in a dramatic match, 4-6, 7-5, 14-12.

Success in singles

In the singles draw, Danila Kvasov also confidently reached the final, consistently defeating his compatriot Makhmudbek Beknazarov with a score of 6:4, 6:5 (retirement) and demonstrating stable play throughout the tournament.

In the decisive match, Kvasov will face Alexei Ilyin of Russia, whom he has previously met in the doubles final.

The triumph of Uzbek athletes in Baku is yet another confirmation of the systematic work of the Uzbekistan Tennis Federation to develop junior tennis and train young athletes capable of achieving high results on the international stage.
