Uzbek tennis players took part in the qualifying tournament for the Australian Open Junior Championships in Japan
Young tennis players from Uzbekistan are participating in the 2026 Dunlop Road to the Australian Open Junior Championships tournament, which is being held from November 10 to 14 in the Japanese city of Yokkaichi.
In the competition, tennis players are competing for a wild card to the prestigious Australian Open Junior Championships 2026 junior tournament. Athletes from countries such as Japan, Indonesia, New Zealand, Thailand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Jordan, Singapore, and Uzbekistan are participating.
The Uzbekistan national team consists of four girls and three boys in the under-17 age category. Our athletes are representing their country with dignity and playing well.
Participation in Dunlop Road to the Australian Open is an important experience for Uzbek juniors, allowing them to assess the level of preparation of the strongest Asian players and earn valuable ranking points. Such international competitions contribute to the development of young tennis players and strengthen Uzbekistan’s position in the world tennis arena.
