Uzbek tennis player Kamila Rakhimova wins WTA 125 title in Angers

Uzbek tennis player Kamilla Rakhimova won the WTA 125 Open Angers Arena Loire tournament, which ended in the French city of Angers. In the final match, Kamilla confidently defeated Germany’s Tatjana Korpach with a score of 6-3, 7-6(4).

 

From the very first minutes of the final, Rakhimova demonstrated consistency and aggression on the court. In the first set, she quickly took the initiative and won it 6-3. The second set was evenly matched, but Kamilla showed composure at key moments and secured victory in the tiebreak, 7-6 (4).

 

Rakhimova’s path to the title included a hard-fought semifinal victory over the tournament’s second seed, Ana Ruzic of Croatia, 4-6, 6-3, 7-5, which was one of the highlights of the week.

 

The triumph in Angers was Rakhimova’s first WTA 125 title of the season and an important achievement after her switch to Uzbekistan.
