Uzbek tennis player Polina Kudermetova ended her participation in the Australian Open, losing in the second round to Clara Tauson, ranked 14th in the world.
The match lasted 1 hour and 53 minutes and was fiercely contested. Polina won the second set and was close to a positive result, but in the decisive set, her opponent managed to turn the game in her favor. The final score of the match was 3-6, 6-3, 5-7.
With the match almost evenly balanced throughout, Tauson had the overall advantage in points won, 91 to 79, which proved decisive in the tense third set.
The Australian Open was an important stage of the international season for Kudermetova and gave her valuable playing experience at a Grand Slam tournament.
