Two finals and semifinals in doubles: successful performance by Uzbekistan’s tennis players at ITF J60 in Kathmandu

Uzbekistan’s Keira Kim has once again performed successfully on the international stage, becoming a finalist in her second consecutive ITF J60 Kathmandu tournament in Nepal.

 

In the decisive match, the Uzbek tennis player faced South Korea’s So-hyun Kim. In a hard-fought first set, Keira Kim lost 7-5, after which her opponent managed to win the match in the second set 6-0.

 

In addition to their successful performance in singles, Uzbek tennis players also proved themselves in doubles competitions. Keira Kim, paired with Japan’s Riko Shozu, reached the semifinals of the doubles tournament. Emily Kim, paired with Hong Kong’s Han Frieda Siu, also made it to the semifinals in the doubles.

 

Two consecutive finals in the singles category of J60 tournaments, as well as the Uzbek tennis players’ advancement to the semifinals of the doubles competition, confirm the stability, high level of training, and confident progress of Uzbekistan’s representatives on the international junior arena. The performance in Kathmandu was an important and successful stage for the tennis players.
