Maria Timofeeva is participating in the WTA 500 tournament in Merida (Yucatan, Mexico).

In the qualifying semifinals, Timofeeva took to the court against Argentina’s Martina Taborda Capurro. In a match that lasted 2 hours and 6 minutes, Maria won without much difficulty, 6-4, 6-1.

Today, Maria, seeded sixth in the qualifying rounds, will play in the final qualifying match for a place in the main draw against another Argentine, Maria Lourdes Carle. She is ranked one position below Timofeeva. The match will begin today at 22:00 Tashkent time.
