The Uzbekistan women’s national team has advanced to the playoffs!

In their Billie Jean King Cup group stage match (Group II, Asia/Oceania) against Malaysia, the Uzbekistan team secured the victory by the end of the singles matches.

Nigina Alimova defeated Malaysia’s Daania Daniela Hazli 6–2, 6–0, while Sevil Yuldasheva beat Dhaviyena Saravanan 6–3, 6–3. Thus, the Uzbekistan national team clinched an early 2–0 victory in the series.

The doubles match was temporarily suspended due to rain. At the time the match was suspended, Nigina Alimova and Sevil Yuldasheva were leading 7–5, 3–1.

Thanks to this victory, the Uzbekistan women’s team finished second in the group and advanced to the playoffs
