The Uzbek delegation received a ceremonial welcome upon returning home

The Uzbekistan delegation received a warm welcome back home!

The Uzbekistan delegation returned from Japan after a strong performance at the 20th Aichi–Nagoya 2026 Asian Summer Games.

Our athletes were greeted at the airport by Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, government officials, sports representatives, coaches, parents, and loved ones of the athletes, as well as members of the media.

During the ceremonial welcome, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov read a congratulatory message from Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, addressed to the members of the national delegation.

The Uzbekistan national team finished the Games with outstanding results, placing in the top 5 of the overall team medal count.

Humoyun Sultanov, a member of the Uzbekistan national tennis team, contributed to this success by winning a bronze medal in the men’s singles competition.
