Kamilla Rakhimova got off to a winning start at Wimbledon

Uzbekistan’s top-ranked player, Kamilla Rakhimova, successfully advanced past the first round of the Grand Slam tournament Wimbledon
after securing a hard-fought victory over Ukraine’s Anna Kalinina, ranked 66th in the world.

Her opponent took the first set 4–6, but Kamilla then managed to turn the match around,
winning the next two sets 6–4 and 7–5.

Thanks to this victory, Kamilla Rakhimova advanced to the second round of Wimbledon, earning 70 WTA ranking points and
securing 126,000 pounds sterling (about 166,000 U.S. dollars) in prize money.
