Uzbek tennis players got off to a successful start in the doubles competition at the ITF W15 Tashkent tournament

The ITF World Tennis Tour W15 Tashkent international women’s tournament is underway at the Olympic City courts in Tashkent from October 27 to November 2, 2025. The tournament is organized by the Uzbekistan Tennis Federation under the auspices of the ITF.

Several Uzbek tennis players successfully made it through the first round in the doubles draw and advanced to the second round of the tournament.

Shakhzoda Artikbaeva from Uzbekistan and Odeta Panasa from Latvia defeated their opponents Daria Khomutskaya and Ksenia Ersh with a score of 6–3, 6–4.

Nigina Alimova and Maftunabonu Kahramonova also advanced to the second round after their opponents withdrew from the match.

Daria Shubina from Uzbekistan and Anastasia Krymkova from Kazakhstan played one of the most intense and spectacular matches of the day, defeating the Indian duo of Soha Sadik and Akanksha Nitture.

After a confident 6–1 victory in the first set, the tennis players lost the second 6–7(5), and the fate of the match was decided in a tiebreak. Trailing 4–8, the Uzbek-Kazakh pair managed to make an impressive comeback and snatched victory with a score of [10–8]. The match was a real highlight of the first round of the tournament and attracted dozens of spectators around the court.

The ITF W15 Tashkent tournament brought together athletes from more than seven countries and became another important opportunity for Uzbekistan’s tennis players to prove themselves on the international stage, strengthening the position of domestic tennis in the ITF rankings.
