Uzbekistan’s tennis players begin their participation at Wimbledon

Matches are set to begin in the United Kingdom for Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam tournament of the season.

Maria Timofeeva and Polina Kudermetova will represent Uzbekistan in the women’s qualifying rounds.
Maria Timofeeva is the top seed in the qualifying tournament, while Polina Kudermetova will also compete for a spot in the main draw.

Uzbekistan’s top-ranked player, Kamilla Rakhimova, qualified directly
for the Wimbledon main draw based on her ranking and will begin her campaign in the main tournament.

In the first round of qualifying, Maria Timofeeva will face Whitney Osuigwe of the United States, while Polina Kudermetova will take on Jessica Ponchet of France.
