Uzbekistan tennis players win ATF 14&U Dubai tournament

From October 11 to 17, Dubai (UAE) hosted the ATF 14&U Dubai Grade 2 international junior tournament, which brought together the strongest tennis players from Asia and Europe.

Uzbekistan was represented at the competition by young athletes who showed excellent results.

In the boys’ doubles, the Uzbek pair of Azamjon Ziyatov and Abdulaziz Akhatov won the title, defeating Hong Kong’s Daniel Mo and Lok Chu in the final with a score of 3-6, 6-4, 10-6.

In the women’s doubles, the victory also went to a representative of Uzbekistan, Mumtozbegim Akramova, who played in a duo with Maria Akhatova from Kazakhstan. In the final, they confidently defeated their rivals from Hong Kong, Wei Chu and Yang Chang, with a score of 6-2, 6-3.

The results of the tournament in Dubai reflect the steady development of youth tennis in Uzbekistan and the effectiveness of the Federation’s program for training promising athletes.
