Dilmurod Shermatov received the international White Badge referee qualification.
National referee Dilmurod Shermatov successfully completed training and exams at the ITF Officiating international school and received White Badge certification.
What does White Badge mean?
The White Badge Chair Umpire qualification is awarded by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) based on the results of theory and practice on the court and entitles the holder to work at ITF international tournaments in the corresponding Chair Umpire track. This is an official step on the ITF career ladder and a basis for further upgrades.
Significance for Uzbek tennis
The emergence of another White Badge level umpire strengthens the country’s personnel potential, improves the quality of tournaments in Uzbekistan, and helps to host more ITF and ATF international events, strengthening the exchange program with other countries. Over the past year, two umpires in Uzbekistan have already received international status.
The Uzbekistan Tennis Federation will continue to systematically develop the umpire corps by conducting national clinics and mentoring programs and facilitating international appointments for the further growth of our officials.
