For the first time in history, ATF 14&Under tournaments are being held in four cities of Uzbekistan at once – a large-scale series attracts the attention of all of Asia

Since May 2025, Uzbekistan has been hosting a series of international tournaments ATF 14&Under – junior competitions under the auspices of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) and with the support of the Uzbekistan Tennis Federation (UTF). These tournaments bring together the best young players from all over the region and open the way to international rankings and performances for the junior teams of their countries.

The competitions are held in Bukhara, Karshi, Samarkand and Tashkent. More than 185 players from eight countries have already taken part in the series, including Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, the USA, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The series has a special format: every place is played. Even after a defeat in the main draw, the participants continue to fight, gaining important playing experience and ATF U14 rating points. This helps young tennis players stay motivated and continue developing.

The Samarkand stage was especially notable: more than 32 matches were held on the courts every day, and the spectators watched real battles and emotional games. The tournament became a celebration of youth sports and confirmed the high organizational level of the series.

Among the bright participants were Muslimakhon Turdimurodova (winner of the singles tournament Samarkand ATF 14&Under), Hamza Elmansury (winner of the singles tournament in Samarkand).

From July 7 to 12, the Tashkent stage of Tashkent ATF 14&Under hosted participants on the courts of the Pakhtakor stadium. The tournament brought together representatives of eight countries and became one of the largest stages of the season. Here, the fight for rating, sports identity and first international titles unfolds.

“The ATF 14&Under competitions are the foundation on which the future of tennis in the region is built. Uzbekistan confirms its status as the center for the development of children’s tennis in Central Asia. We are proud of how the tournaments are held: organized, open and with attention to each participant. But the main thing is that these are not just competitions. This is a contribution to mass sports, to children’s dreams and the development of the entire tennis ecosystem. The Federation invests in coaches, infrastructure, student and veteran projects. Our goal is to ensure that every region of Uzbekistan has opportunities for growth. Today, young players are taking their first steps in Samarkand and Tashkent, and tomorrow they will represent the country on the international stage,” said Sardor Kamilov, Secretary General of the Uzbekistan Tennis Federation.

Muslimakhon Turdimurodova became the winner in the girls’ singles, beating Mumtozbegim Akramova in the final with a score of 6-2, 6-3; Muslimakhon Turdimurodova and Kamilla Kayumova won in the doubles with a score of 6-2, 6-2.

Hamza Elmansouri from Saudi Arabia became the winner in the boys’ singles. He beat Ismoiljon Tursunov, who won with a score of 2-6, 6-2, 6-4. In doubles, Saidaslam Farhodov and Hamza Elmansouri won with a score of 6-0, 7-6.

Why it matters:

The tournaments are the first international experience for many participants – they provide access to the official ATF U14 rating
They create a sports environment and infrastructure in the regions
They raise the status of Uzbekistan as an organizer of international youth competitions
More than 800 players under 14 have already taken part in the ATF series over the past two years, and the number continues to grow
Uzbekistan is proving once again that tennis here is not just a sport, but a path, discipline and inspiration.
