International ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors J100 Tournament Concludes in Fergana

From August 18 to 23, Fergana hosted the prestigious ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors J100 tournament, bringing together top juniors from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, China, India, Poland, Russia, Belarus, and South Korea. The event was organized by the Uzbekistan Tennis Federation under the auspices of the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

Singles finals

  • In the boys’ singles, Fyodor Altukhov (Russia) defeated Milan Taupenets (Belarus) 7–5, 4–6, 7–6(5).

  • In the girls’ singles, Russia’s Alexandra Malova overcame her compatriot Alexandra Cheyshvili 6–3, 6–1.

Doubles finals

  • In the boys’ doubles, Uzbekistan’s Akmal Abdullaev and Danila Kvasov put up a strong fight but fell to Viktor Jez (Poland) and Kaigaoge Kang (China) 6–0, 7–6(5).

  • In the girls’ doubles, Russia’s Ksenia Akhrameeva and Alena Kharchenko defeated Kazakhstan’s Albina Kakenova and Satima Toregen 1–6, 6–4, [10–7].

Significance of the tournament

J100-level events are an important stage for young tennis players, providing valuable ITF Juniors ranking points and opening the path to higher levels of an international career.
