“Tournaments in the J60 series play an important role in shaping young tennis players and strengthen Uzbekistan’s status as an active participant in the global tennis movement. We are pleased to see the growing number of participants and the expanding geography of countries, as well as the increasing interest in tennis among youth. Andijan has served as a worthy host of the international tournament, and we believe this is another step toward developing tennis in the regions and nurturing a new generation of champions,” said Sardor Komilov, Secretary General of the Uzbekistan Tennis Federation.
Tournaments of the J60 category are among the key events in the ITF’s global system. It is at these events that tennis players under 18 earn their first ranking points, gain experience, build confidence, and step onto the international stage. For young athletes from Uzbekistan, this is not only a chance to compete with strong opponents, but also an opportunity to present themselves to the world. For the city of Andijan, it is a chance to become a part of the global tennis map.
