Maria Timofeeva qualified for the main draw of the WTA 500 tournament in Merida

Uzbek tennis player Maria Timofeeva has qualified for the main draw of the WTA 500 tournament in Merida (Yucatan, Mexico).

Maria won the decisive match to qualify for the main draw. She defeated another Argentine tennis player, Maria Lourdes Carle, in two sets with the same score, 6-3, 6-3.

In the first round of the main draw, Maria Timofeeva will play against Polish tennis player Magdalena French, who is currently ranked 57th in the world. The Timofeeva-French match will begin tomorrow at 9:00 p.m. Tashkent time.
