New Appointments and Strategic Decisions in the Uzbekistan Tennis Federation

On July 23, 2025, a working meeting was held in Tashkent with representatives of the Uzbekistan Tennis Federation and coaching staff.

The meeting focused on key organizational and strategic matters aimed at the development of the tennis system and strengthening of the national teams. During the session, the new composition of the Coaching Council, its chairperson, and the national team managers were introduced.

Reports were also presented on the performance of the women’s national team at the Billie Jean King Cup and the U12 team. In addition, criteria for admission to the Republican Tennis School of Olympic Reserve and the 2026 national team training plans were discussed.

Yuriy Nikolaevich Kolesnichenko was confirmed as the Chairman of the Coaching Council.

Shukhrat Khayrullaevich Khikmatov was appointed as the Head of the Tashkent City Tennis Federation and Manager of the Men’s National Team.

Liliya Alisherovna Khodzhaeva was appointed as Manager of the Women’s National Team.

This meeting marked an important step in structurally strengthening the national tennis training system. The decisions made will define the strategic direction of the national teams as they prepare for the 2026 season.
