Results of the International Tennis Tournament M15 Hayot Bank Cup 2 in Tashkent

From May 26 to June 1, the International Tennis Tournament among men of the ITF World Tennis Tour series — M15 Hayot Bank Cup 2, which is a continuation of the first series of the tournament, was held in Tashkent on the courts of the Sakhovat sports complex.

The competition brought together representatives of 14 countries — Uzbekistan, India, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Italy, Switzerland, the USA, Japan, the Netherlands, Canada, Great Britain, Georgia and Ukraine. The prize fund of the tournament was 15,000 US dollars. The tournament included matches in singles and doubles, within the framework of the international ITF calendar.

Successes of Uzbek tennis players

Uzbekistan was represented by a strong line-up: Sergey Fomin, Denis Istomin, Maxim Shin, Amir Milushev, Damir Abdusamadov, Rahimbek Ibrahimov, Ilya Ignatov, Bobur Madaminov, Aziz Dadabaev, Faizullo Mirzaganiyev, Artur Ibragimov, Botir Sapaev and Abdulaziz Usmonzhonov.

Our athletes demonstrated a high level of training, professionalism and will to win:
• Sergey Fomin confidently reached the semi-finals in singles and won the champion title in pairs together with Ukrainian Vladislav Orlov.
• Maxim Shin became a finalist in the singles tournament, showing a mature and powerful game.
• Amir Milushev reached the quarter-finals, demonstrating perseverance and character.
• The pair Denis Istomin / Damir Abdusamadov successfully performed in the doubles, reaching the quarterfinals.

The duo Aziz Dadabaev / Faizullo Mirzaganiev also reached the quarterfinals, demonstrating coherence and team spirit.

Finals: a fight to the last

The singles final was a real highlight of the tournament. In a tense fight, Maxim Shin (Uzbekistan) lost to Rento Tokuda (Japan) with a score of 6–4, 6–3, becoming the second prize winner of the tournament. Despite the defeat, this performance became an important stage in his professional career.

In the doubles final, Sergey Fomin (Uzbekistan) and Vladislav Orlov (Ukraine) confidently beat the Indian duo Iqbal Ishaq / Nitin Kumar Singh — 6–2, 6–4, winning the champions title.

Award Ceremony and Start of the Women’s Tournament

The award ceremonies for the winners and finalists were held on May 31 and June 1. The participants were presented with memorable prizes and gifts from the tournament partners, and the spectators gave the players thunderous applause and warm emotions.

Following the men’s tournament, the women’s tournament W15 Hayot Bank Cup, also part of the ITF World Tennis Tour series, started on June 2. There are even more exciting matches and intense competition ahead, this time among the strongest tennis players.
