Uzbek Juniors Crowned Absolute Champions at ATF 14&Under Sugd Cup 1 in Tajikistan

From August 9 to 15, 2025, the international Sugd Cup 1 was held in Khujand (Tajikistan) under the auspices of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF), bringing together the best juniors of the region. Players from the Republican Tennis School of Olympic Reserve delivered outstanding results, claiming all the main titles in the U14 category.

Artyom Dogovorov became the absolute champion among boys, winning both singles and doubles. In the singles final, he defeated compatriot Dong Seon Kim 7:6(5), 6:2. Partnering with Kim in doubles, Dogovorov also secured the title, beating Kazakhstan’s duo Alikhan Akylbek and Ibragim Rakhmatullin 6:2, 6:1.

Among girls, Zlata Nizamiyeva became the absolute champion, not dropping a single set on her way to the title. In the singles final, she confidently overcame Milanа Zakharova 6:1, 6:2. In doubles, Nizamiyeva teamed up with Zakharova to defeat Kazakhstan’s Alya Rakhmetzhan and Dilnaz Amandossova 6:1, 6:2, clinching the championship.

These victories are the result of the young athletes’ determination and the dedicated work of their coaches. The success of Dogovorov, Nizamiyeva, and Zakharova highlights the high potential of Uzbek tennis and strengthens the country’s position on the international stage.
