The strongest young tennis players from Central and West Asia continue their battle in Almaty at the Roland Garros Junior Series by Renault qualifying stage — an international U16 tournament held under the auspices of the French Tennis Federation (FFT), the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF), and Renault Group.

Following the quarterfinal matches, two Uzbek players — Alan Zinatulin and Akmal Abdullaev — advanced to the semifinals, confirming their high level of preparation and consistency at the tournament.

Boys:

  • Alan Zinatulin scored a confident win over Rodion Traigel (Kazakhstan) — 6:3, 6:3. In the next round, he will face Mansur Sainov (Kazakhstan).

  • Akmal Abdullaev defeated Mahmudbek Beknazarov in a tough all-Uzbek clash — 3:6, 6:2, 6:0. For a spot in the final, he will meet Ansar Nietkaliev (Kazakhstan), who previously overcame Abdurakhmon Karimov — 3:6, 6:1, 6:4.

Girls:
In the girls’ draw, Uzbekistan was represented by Keira Kim, who reached the quarterfinals but fell to Adiya Omarbek (Kazakhstan) — 2:6, 4:6. The rising junior tennis star showed strong character and will continue to compete for fifth place.

The final matches of the qualifying stage will be played on August 9. The winners will head to the final stage of the Roland Garros Junior Series, which will be held in Japan in October 2025. There, they will compete for tickets to Paris — for the Roland Garros Junior Series 2026.
